Iron Chef Competition

For a leading aerospace company, First Avenue Events designed a Team Building exercise based on the ever-popular Iron Chef television show. Seventy executive team members were divided into teams to compete against each other for the title of Iron Chef.

• Each team was provided with a workstation, and the equipment and ingredients required to prepare a 3-course meal – appetizer, main course, and dessert.
• To increase competition, teams were provided with a small amount of “culinary bucks” that they could use to buy additional supplies, or advice from any one of the three Chefs. Teams were also given the opportunity to win additional $ by answering trivia questions.
• Stu Schwartz (a.k.a Stuntman Stu, one of Ottawa’s most sought-after media personalities) acted as the host, taking the competition to a new level with his wit and charm.
• Judging the culinary masterpieces were the Chefs from the Merlot Restaurant and Stu Schwartz.
• To conclude the evening, participants enjoyed the same 3-course meal, but this time prepared by the Chef’s themselves.

Thanks to our host, and the Chefs at Merlot, it was a fun evening for all participants.
