Information Technology Association of Canada – IT Hero Award Program & Chair’s Dinner
First Avenue Events has been retained by the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) to manage all elements of the IT Hero Awards program. After a complete evaluation of the award program, it was redesigned to be better aligned with the organization's mandate and objectives; to be in sync with industry trends; and to incorporate best practices in award design. The IT Hero Awards celebrate and recognize the creative application of information technology that significantly improves the lives of Canadians.
Program and event management includes:
- Identification and management of an expert judging panel comprised of distinguished individuals from various sectors who have intimate knowledge of Canada’s IT sector.
- Development of evaluation and scoring tools and overall management of the evaluation process.
- Development of a sponsorship program and partner program including recruitment.
- Management of “Call for Nomination” process including promotion through media partners; regional and national technology partners and numerous other organizations.
- Development of a dedicated website and overall management to ensure it is up-to-date.
- Development of a marketing and communications plan to increase the profile of the program nationally.
- Coordination of the Chair's dinner in Toronto, which more than 200 leaders and senior representatives from the ICT industry attend for the presentation of the awards and celebration of the industry’s accomplishments.
